Open House – Thursday, Feb 16, 2017 – 7:30pm

On this electric evening we open the school for the children to show their parents what they have learning this year. The 5th grade ambassadors will guide you through our school and all of the magic it holds. We highly encourage parents to bring their children so they can show you how excited and passionate they are about their hard work. For prospective families this is a great opportunity to see the energy of the school and walk around to observe how accomplished our students are.

This event is for parents and children alike and both our preschool and elementary will be open.

The Preschool and Elementary school are next to each other on the same block.

With Special Thoughts of You at Thanksgiving from Mrs. Marcum and the K.C. Staff

As part of Kids Connection’s ongoing program of “Educating the Heart”, our life skill this month has been gratitude. It’s very important to reinforce our life skills not only by words but deeds.

Our after school students prepared and sent cards to the veterans at the VA Center in San Francisco telling them how much we appreciate their dedication and hard work in protecting our country. Their letters were a token of the students’ love and gratitude.

On Tuesday, November 15th, the students began their gratitude countdown to Thanksgiving. Each day, one grade level will share their classmates’ collaborative thoughts on gratitude over the intercom. Only by identifying one’s own blessings, can one truly be empathetic towards others.

Our third grade classes are sponsoring a food drive in partnership with Harvest Food Bank that will run from now through November 22nd. This is yet another way for our students to learn the meeting of gratitude for what they have, and by extension to share their blessings with others.

Thanksgiving is a time for thinking of those who are a special part of our lives and have a special place in our hearts. That’s why Thanksgiving is a time for thinking of all of you.

We wish our K.C. Families happiness and blessings always.
