Academics

Kids Connection Preschool provides a challenging and well-rounded early childhood program in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and creative.  We believe that children learn through play and hands-on experiences.  Explore our Curriculum Guide or our individual preschool programs below.

  • Two-Three Year Olds

    Little Explorers

Our Little Explorers Program introduces children to various activities so that they can experience the joy of learning. Free play, table activities, circle time, music, and art are part of the daily schedule.

  • Three-Four Year Olds

    Early Learners

This program provides encouragement for each child to express him/herself in a manner that is appropriate. He/she learns independence, language development, and imaginative play. Circle time, music and movement, helper chart, calendar, art, science, and table manuipulatives are used.

  • Four-Five Year Olds

    Pre-Kindergarten

We provide an academically challenging, yet fun and creative, pre-k curriculum.  Children acquire skills to solve problems, ask questions, and use words to express observations.

  • Five-Six Year Olds

    Kindergarten

The pre-kindergarten curriculum is designed to flow automatically into our kindergarten.  The children who we have had in our school are ready to take on the challenge of our kindergarten, and therefore automatically would be eligible to continue. We open enrollment for the elementary school in early January for pre-k students. Families have until the end of February to secure their child’s spot before we open any remaining spots to outsiders.

Our kindergarten program establishes an excellent academic foundation in language arts, math, science, social science, and health. Our goal is to facilitate literacy development through a phonics-based program enriched with literature.  As a result our kindergarten students are typically reading at a 2nd grade level by the end of the year. This builds the foundation on which their life-long love of learning is built.
