Coyote Camp 2024 Details:
- Open to KC Elementary and non-KC Elementary students or children who have just completed Kindergarten through 5th grade
- Camp activities primarily run from 9am-4pm
- Complimentary before care (starting at 7:00am) and after care (until 6pm) is available
- Camp tuition includes the necessary supplies, a camp t-shirt, transportation to local parks as well as morning and afternoon snacks
- A hot lunch option for purchase is available through Choicelunch.com
- 10% sibling discount on lower camp fee registered for same week (does not apply to t-shirts or pizza lunches)

KC Summer Camp 2024: KC Camp Coyote
Week 1, June 17-21 (No camp June 19): Going Green
KC’s Camp Coyote is kicking off the summer and “Going Green!” Get ready for a fun-filled week of celebrating nature and sustainability. Our campers will engage in a wide range of activities that promote environmental awareness, from exploration of our local and national parks, to analyzing animal adaptations to creative crafts using recycled materials. It’s the perfect opportunity for your child to connect with the great outdoors while learning about the importance of taking care of our planet. Don’t miss out on this enriching and eco-friendly camp experience!
Please note, camp will be closed on June 19th in honor of Juneteenth.
Week 2, June 24-28: Disney
Camp Coyote transforms into the happiest place on earth, where the magical world of Disney comes to life! From animation academy to costume and character design your child will get a taste of the journey to on screen Disney Productions. But we won’t stop there – we take Disney to the next step by immersing ourselves in the design of our own Disneyland-themed experiences – from building the iconic castle to designing merchandise and Main Street USA, campers will have a blast stretching their imaginations to new heights. With a sprinkle of pixie dust and a dash of imagination, our campers will immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Disney, making cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Don’t miss out on the magic and Disney-themed fun!
Week 3, July 1-5 (No camp July 4): 4th of July
KC Camp Coyote gets festive with the celebration of 4th of July! Creativity will be in full bloom as campers engage in arts and crafts inspired by the holiday week, mixing science and art to design decor and games to celebrate the spirit of Fourth of July. They’ll express their artistic as they examine the theme of ‘what freedom means to me’. To top off this spirited week, we’re inviting families to join us for a Family BBQ and Carnival on Friday July 5th where you are invited to check out all the amazing work students have put together for the week. It’s the perfect way to conclude our celebration of the bonds that make our community so special. Get ready for a week filled with learning, creativity, and a whole lot of red, white, and blue!
Please note, camp will be closed on July so 4th in honor of Independence Day, it will reopen Friday July 5th
Week 4, July 8-12: Sports
Throw on your jerseys and stretch those muscles, it’s time for Sports Week at KC’s Camp Coyote! Throughout the week, our young champions will dive into the thrilling world of sports – the artistry, the science, the history and the games themselves! From soccer and volleyball to basketball and more, our campers will have the chance to try their hand at a wide array of athletic offerings – fostering teamwork, athleticism, and a love for the game. Don’t miss out on this action-packed week celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and physical activity!
Week 5, July 15-19: STEM
Immerse yourself in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)! Campers will explore each of the elements of STEM by diving into each multifaceted subject day by day! From Chemistry experiments, to electrical and technological investigations, it’s a week filled with hands-on learning, innovation, and endless fun as we inspire young minds to explore the wonders of STEM. Don’t miss out on this engaging and educational adventure!
Week 6, July 22-26: Motion Pictures
Join us for an exciting week of cinematic adventures at Camp Coyote! Campers will travel on a journey through the captivating history and styles of movies. They will examine the angles of a movie going experience and discover what it takes to create a blockbuster. Throughout the week, campers will get hands-on experience in the world of Hollywood, by authoring their own scripts and bringing their imaginative stories to life or designing their own mini movie theatre and iconic concession stand. Get ready for a week filled with cinematic creativity and movie magic!
Week 7, July 29-August 2: Exploration
Get ready to embark on an epic adventure of Exploration at KC Camp Coyote! Campers will step into the shoes of some of history’s most daring explorers via land, sea, sky and beyond! From local nature exploration to high-flying aviation projects to the boundless expanse of space, this week promises an exhilarating exploration of our world and beyond. Join us for a week filled with discovery, curiosity, and the thrill of venturing into the unknown!
Week 8, August 5-9: Roller Coaster Tycoon
Embark on an exhilarating, twisty-twirly journey into the world of roller coasters at KC Camp Coyote! Discover the science and engineering behind creating these thrilling contraptions, and work with a team to design and create their very own mini roller coasters. At the end of the week, campers will showcase their roller coaster creations at the Camp Coyote Coaster Convention! It’s sure to be a fast-paced, wild week of imagination, design, and iteration you won’t want to miss!
Week 9, August 12-16: Artistry
Traverse the many domains of Artistry at KC Camp Coyote! Young innovators will ignite their creativity, exploring their artistic talents through a variety of media. From painting and drawing to sculpting and mosaics, our campers will expand their artistic repertoire through daily dips into a new form of art medium! It’s a week filled with colorful imaginations and endless possibilities as our campers enjoy an artistic journey like no other!
Week 10, August 19-23: How Things Work
KC Camp Coyote is ready to tackle the question of “How Things Work.” We have an exciting lineup of projects and activities designed to ignite our campers’ curiosity about how the world and gadgets around them work! From hands-on experiments to interactive demonstrations, our campers will unravel the mysteries of the physical world around them. Join us for a spectacular culminating week of camp as we explore the fascinating realm of physics!
